About SKEVI
Skevi is a London-born, Greek Cypriot artist best known for her vibrant abstract and seascape resin paintings. Her work is characterised by rich colour, depth, and movement, inviting viewers to not only see and dive deep into the artwork.
Her artistic journey began as a creative escape while working in a high-pressure role managing a trading system for a major investment bank. Painting with acrylics in the evenings became a way to unwind, but it was the discovery of resin—its glass-like finish and transformative qualities when tinted—that truly ignited her passion. What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a deep exploration of resin as a medium.
Through a detailed understanding of how pigments behave within resin, Skevi creates distinctive works built up through multiple transparent layers. The fluidity and depth of resin allow her to develop dynamic textures and striking visual effects that often tempt viewers to touch the surface. Constant experimentation is central to her practice, ensuring her work continues to evolve and push creative boundaries.
Her first collection, Colour, was created with a simple intention: to introduce a bold pop of colour into people’s homes. These abstract pieces have grown over time into powerful statement artworks, now incorporating partial layering for a subtle three-dimensional effect, alongside metallic elements that add depth and a luxurious edge.
During her 13 years living in Asia, Skevi’s connection to the ocean deepened, inspiring her Seascape collection. By pouring and tilting resin panels in varying directions, combined with the controlled use of heat guns and blowtorches, she creates dramatic ocean scenes filled with energy, movement, and depth. This collection has become her best-selling body of work, with numerous commissions created in bespoke sizes and colour palettes.
Further experimentation led to the creation of her emotionally driven Life collection. Each piece tells its own story, influenced by personal emotions, global events, or the organic movement and positioning of abstract life forms. Every artwork is open to interpretation, often evoking different feelings and narratives for each viewer—sparking curiosity, connection, and conversation. The collection continues to evolve, featuring multiple transparent layers, waves, metallic and glow-in-the-dark embellishments for a truly distinctive aesthetic.
In addition to wall art, Skevi creates unique functional art homewares, including resin tables, which are always a striking focal point and conversation starter.
Skevi is passionate about giving back and has supported numerous charitable and fundraising initiatives. Her work has raised funds for organisations including Breast Cancer Now, The British Heart Foundation, MIND, DENS, NHS Charities Together, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, DEC Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine, and—during her time in Singapore—Kick Sarcoma, Kampuchea Balopp in Cambodia, and the Nicholson Memorial Fund via the ATLAS Foundation.
She has exhibited extensively in both Singapore and the UK, including her first solo exhibition at Molasses House Gallery in the summer of 2023. Her artwork can be found in private homes, offices, and hotels across the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, Spain, Portugal, Latvia, and the UK, where she currently resides. Skevi has been featured in Tatler and The World of Interiors, is a Theo Paphitis SBS award winner, and is gallery represented. She also collaborates closely with interior designers and art consultants to create bespoke artworks tailored to their clients’ spaces.
